I conducted extensive due diligence on every company I spoke with (outlined below) to ensure I made the best decision. My first meeting was with Julie, whose immense knowledge of SEO immediately stood out. I spent about an hour asking her detailed questions, followed by a 30-minute meeting with the Google Ads team. I then scheduled another 1.5-hour meeting with Julie to dive deeper into SEO strategies. Finally, I met with the development team. My Due Diligence Process: 1.Reviews •I analyzed Google Reviews and Glassdoor feedback (to understand the work environment from employees’ perspectives). •Most importantly, I relied on Clutch.co reviews, as they conduct in-depth, 30-minute interviews with customers for a more comprehensive evaluation. 2.Online Presence •Since my goal was to enhance my online visibility, I prioritized companies with a strong digital presence. •I evaluated their monthly organic traffic and analyzed the keywords they ranked for to gauge their expertise. 3.Clients’ Organic Traffic •Using SEMrush (a tool that allows 10 free searches per day per account), I reviewed their clients’ webpages to track organic search performance. •This revealed valuable insights, such as monthly traffic, and how many keywords ranked in positions 1–3, 4–10, and beyond. •This method exposed several questionable companies, making it an essential step in my process. 4.Interviews •I prepared challenging questions, including test questions for which I already knew the answers. •This allowed me to assess their transparency and trustworthiness based on the accuracy of their responses. To be clear I have not yet started work with them. I will be updating this review as time goes on.
